I am an experienced musician having studied piano and clarinet for over 20 years! I studied music at Augustana College and have over 14 years experience playing in a variety of musical ensembles and recitals. I also serve as a piano accompanist for junior high and high school students participating in solo contest.

I have 15 years of private teaching experience, a majority of which is with children, but I welcome all ages who are willing to learn! I was classically trained and successfully completed the Suzuki Piano Method series, but have experience playing a variety of genres and encourage students to learn using a diversified repertoire. We are traditional in the sense of developing students' performance skills, cultivating healthy and disciplined attitudes toward competition, and working toward deep musical understanding in many contexts. The Piano Studio of Robert Sacks offers a comprehensive program of musical training in piano to students of all ages and skill levels, including adults. A conservatory-trained pianist, Mr. Sacks has taught private studio piano in Naperville for more than 25 years, and is also active as an accompanist and chamber musician.

Student learn all aspects of musical expression, technique and theory, in an environment that is nurturing, lively and challenging. Three recitals a year--two solo and one all-ensemble--give students the opportunity to develop poise and confidence.
