I have been teaching private piano lessons for over 30 years. I specialize teaching the young beginner, starting at age 4. I have a Bachelor of Music degree from Washburn University in Topeka, KS. Along with the actual keyboard work, the student also learns all the scales, music theory and basic ear training. I don't use one particular method, but custom the method used to the student. My passion is teaching the joy of music to all ages. Piano beginners through early advanced, both children and adults. Piano lessons are given in my home or yours, however I teach organ on the instrument practiced on. I also teach Musikgarten Music and Movement classes for young children. I try to instill in my students a love of music that will continue throughout their lives.
