Music Lesson Instructors in Maplewood, Minnesota (Ramsey County)

I teach one-on-one piano and music composition lessons. My composition students enter contests, and my piano students perform in recitals as well as taking theory and piano exams.

I provide private, weekly, 30 minute lessons for violin and viola. I also accept beginning cello students (up through year 4). I have a bachelors in music education with a focus on strings, and am an orchestra teacher in the public schools. I am well acquainted with the school programs nearby, and am happy to work with students on school materials or to provide an extra challenge with solo repertoire. My strength lies with early to intermediate players, though I am comfortable also teaching more advanced violinists as well. I am a Suzuki-trained flute teacher, and have been teaching in Minneapolis since 2010. I welcome beginners ages 4-100 years old, intermediate students interested in college-level music studies, and amateurs at any level. I am happy to give lessons on piccolo as well. My teaching style combines Suzuki method influence with my own lesson structure, incorporating both learning music aurally and reading music.
