Teaching students of all ages and all levels to gain a love of playing the piano is what I offer. I blend different styles ranging from classical to contemporary and use technology including JoyTunes, Guitar Band and other apps. In addition to recitals, my students participate in AIM, Northshore Northwestern Festival of Music and other contests. I have a degree from U of IL, and hold a professional certificate in piano from the National Music Teacher's Association. I am currently an officer on the Illinois State Music Teacher's board of directors. My piano program is a comprehensive approach dedicated to developing musical independence. Instruction involves private lessons that integrate music reading, technique, theory, ear training and musicianship studies. Performance is an important part of studying piano, and students will have the opportunity to perform in recitals and the ISMTA AiM Examinations.
