Over 15 years of experience teaching private lessons. 2 optional recitals a year for students. Lessons focus on the student's individual learning styles, note reading and rhythms, music theory, performance techniques, ear training, and tone development. All ages are welcome for weekly private lessons.

Attended music festivals to study chamber music at Montecito Music Festival and Soka University Chamber Arts Festival. Performed at Soka Performing Arts Center, Segerstrom Hall, and Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Ms. Modell holds degrees in flute and piano performance and currently teaches both instruments to a large studio of private students.
Ms. Modell tailors her instructional approach to each student’s unique performance goals and creates a practice routine so that they may reach their maximum performance potential. Many of her students have been awarded gold medals in music competitions as well as received special Honors in the annual MTAC Certificate of Merit examinations.
Ms. Modell is a member of the Music Teachers Association of California and the National Flute Association.
