I offer singing and piano lessons to all ages. Music lessons should be fun and creative. I hold my students to high technical standards but they are a means to the goal of beautiful passionate music. I teach technique, interpretation, theory, and offer many opportunities to perform. In voice, I teach a classical foundation for classical singing and musical theater. I have been teaching voice in Davis for 10 years. I accept students of all ages, and have taught students as young as 5 and as old as 70. My background focuses on classical music but I teach a variety of singing styles and the health and longevity of your instrament.

Most of my students come weekly for 45 or 60 minutes. Generally the first half of the lesson we work on air movement though warm ups and exercises, and the second half of the lesson we apply this to music that we chose together. Style, range and skill level are all important factors in choosing music that both meet the students interest, while also suiting out needs to apply what we have been working on in the first part of the lesson. Depending on the students interest, current level, and desire, we also work on musicianship and music theory.

I have a yearly recital where students are able to perform some of what they have been working on for friends and family. Also, I have a working relationship with a local pianist who is able to accompany my students as needed for practice, auditions, recitals etc.... See More
