Edwina Hunter is a past president of the Greater Laurel Music Teachers Association, immediate past Maryland State Music Teachers Association Membership Chair, MSMTA Keyboard program co-chair, and now President of the Maryland State Music Teachers Association.
Graduates of the Edwina E. Hunter studio have received scholarships to study the arts at the Tish School of the Arts of NYU, Elon University, Bucknell University, Berklee School of Music, Duke University, Howard University, Spelman College, Hampton University, Morehouse College and Hofstra University.
