I draw from my experience playing a wide variety of styles in professional situations to tailor my piano lessons to the individual student's goals while building a solid foundation in theory and technical fundamentals. I can provide instruction in improvisation and playing by ear, a classical analysis and interpretation approach, or a combination of the two. I studied jazz piano at the University of Washington and have been teaching and performing professionally for the past two decades.
